African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church posthumously recognizes Dr. Monday Peri Okonny for his lifetime commitment to the church .

Dr. Monday Peri Okonny awarded  posthumous award in recognition of his lifetime commitment   to the African Methodist Episcopal (A. M. E) Zion Church, Omokwa, Abua.

Posthumous award to Dr Monday Peri Okonny

On Sunday November 6, 2022 the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church posthumously recognized Dr. Monday Peri Okonny, with an award,  for his "numerous and continous contributions" to the A.M.E Zion Church, Omokwa Abua Central District, Rivers State, Nigeria conference. 


Over his lifetime, Dr. Okonny consistently contributed to the growth and expansion of the church and never missed an opportunity to support the church in numerous ways. 


Dr. Okonny  often spoke fondly about the monumental role that his father had played in bringing A. M. E. Zion church to Omokwa, Abua. He wanted this legacy upheld, and this legacy will continue through the Dr. Monday and Ebi Okonny foundation.
